He was a famous French surrealist painter. The surrealist feature the element of surprise, unexpected juxtapositions and non sequitur. His painting have a unique, immediately recognizable style of nonrepresentational surrealism. I could easily understand from his work much better than Miro's works. Miro's works are much more abstract and not really easy to understand. Yves Tanguy's works can easy to see and understand what he wants to express.
I like the images you chose to go along with the post. They all have a similar theme and portray the artist's style very well.
